Mentions (c)

Two more mentions about memorables before I move on!

The Crossings Sauvignon Blanc (2011)

I had this in a tasting flight at San Diego Wine Co where they featured the wines on their newsletter for the month. Glad to have a sauvignon blanc to add to my list!

Fresh cut grass smell. Grape fruity and citrus! Well balanced and light. I dont usually enjoy Sauvignon Blanc so this was a surprise for me! It might have been too long since I tasted one and it was just so refreshing! OOO

Qupe Syrah Central Coast (2010)

Ruby red colour. Nose of anise, red plums and blackberries with hints of cedar. Well balanced acids and tannins. Refreshing fruit forward dark berries (hint of blueberries) with good spices that is not too overwhelming. Not too dry. Simple and easy on the palate. I had this out of a nice half bottle which I adore. Absolutely using it for preserving the full bottles when I cannot finish them.  OOO
